Tuesday November 5th, 2024: ELECTION DAY

Information for General Election - Tues. November 5th, 2024

Vote in person on Election Day:  First-time voters at your current address must bring identification (driver’s license, passport, voter reg. card, current bank statement, or utility bill) to the polls. If your name is not on the iPad, you have the right to vote by provisional ballot.

Vote early in person BEFORE Election Day in Room 140 City Hall, accessed from the south portal. This is only an option for someone who applied to vote by mail before October 29th. Otherwise, you must vote at your polling place on Election Day.

If voting by mail, ballots must be RECEIVED by 8pm on November 5th: Through USPS, but no guarantee of timely delivery OR to Room 140 City Hall OR drop box at City Hall (South Broad apron), Markward Playground (400 S. Taney), vote.phila.gov for other locations

If you applied to vote by mail and instead want to vote in person on Election Day: 1) You must bring your entire mail-in ballot packet (ballot, secrecy envelope, declaration envelope) to your polling place, the Judge of Elections will spoil your ballot, and you can vote on a machine. 2) If you don’t receive your mail-in ballot or don’t bring the packet, you can vote with a provisional ballot at your polling place.
